CONTEST PREP

Here at SIMA we’ve also been preparing talented young artists for popular TV contests such as The Voice or X-Factor or BGT.

Here’s how you can proceed:

1. You can just send us your demo. There is a per-submission fee of €50.

2. You can send us your RAW demo and commission us to prepare it for you in our DEMO CLINIC.Per-demo cost will depend on the particulars of each demo, but can typically range between €200 and €1,000 depending on the level of complexity and number of session musicians you may decide to employ (if any).

3. You can also sign up for our professional songwriting course – and opportunities such as these are a regular staple for our students. Check out our SONGWRITING CLASSES or inquire below.

SIMA’s Online Lesson Format

Our online lessons are 1 hour long (except selected solo coaching which runs at 30 minutes per session or artist development lessons which may run between 2 and 4 hours per person). During the global shut-down, we connect using ZOOM.

PRICING

Our standard rate for lessons is €45 per hour. Group lessons cost €22.50. Studio hour costs €50. Pro artist development rates subject to individual confirmation.

Note that artist development lessons are on an invitation basis only. You can apply but we can’t guarantee placement.

PRO ARTIST DEVELOPMENT

We can invite our most promising young artists into our “Pro Artist Development” program, if we have room. Cost as well as schedules are agreed individually with each artist, to best suit their needs.

If you haven’t trained with us before but would like to be considered for Pro Artist Development, please contact us. Make sure to attach a demo reel of some sort as well.

About Laura

Laura Krier – A former recording artist and now a successful vocal coach and piano teacher, Laura has a degree in… accounting and has also attended Paul McCartney’s LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts).

Along the way, she was an intern at Capitol Hill and also worked for a couple of years as an English teacher in Japan.

She’s spent the last few years in Spain, dividing her time between teaching music, occasional performing and parenting.
