This course is divided into three separate sections.
- Introduction – THIS book. It contains everything from personal notes to background information and general awareness-building. This is the “easy reading” part which I recommend that you don’t skip.
- Your Music – Here we’ll look more closely at how to ensure that your musical product is optimally created and produced, as well as how it relates to your target audience.
- Building Your Music Business – This is by far the largest section and contains all the “how-to’s” and step-by-step instructions (including some how-to videos) for setting up and running your music business, either by yourself or through outsourcers – or a bit of both.
I hope you will enjoy reading this course (and watching, where applicable) as much as you’ll enjoy implementing everything in practice! And remember, all sections of this course are regularly updated, so do check in your Member’s Area often.
Note that you can bookmark all the pages on this site as you read, and later retrieve all these bookmarks from within your Member’s Profile.
You can read this entire course online, right here, after you log in, and you can also download the PDF’s and read them offline. Just note that the online version is kept up to date in real time (complete with other members’ comments and questions – which I will answer daily), while the PDF may sometimes be slightly behind.
If you wish to download the PDF version, then go to your Member’s Area/Member’s Profile, download section.
Your music is not a “career” until you start making money on it. It’s a hobby.
The purpose of this guide is to help you build a business around your music – make it into a sustainable career. This way you can “play” for as long as you like and never have to worry about a conventional job. But in order to succeed, you’ll need the knowledge, determination, tools, the right people around you and – a fan base. I hope to be able to help you with this within these pages.
I hope you’ll enjoy yourself here!
NOTE: When reading this course online (recommended, because of the frequent updates as well as interactivity), if you see “restricted access” banners and no further text, that means you need to either register for a free account ( all of book 1 is available to FREE registered members), or upgrade to Silver, Gold or Platinum membership to get more features. A small handful of “sample” chapters are also available to unregistered visitors.
